Digital therapeutics and care
Digital technology is changing the way we connect and manage our health. Mobile technology is driving new ways for patients and clinicians to manage chronic disease.
Our Health Services research group use the latest innovation to develop virtual healthcare. These delivery models are ways to address the strain of chronic disease on our health system. They include validated technology-based platforms to manage conditions such as eye-diseases, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and ageing.
Our scientists and engineers use our expertise in mobile technology, home monitoring, telemedicine, wellbeing and behavioural change to improve health services to urban, rural and remote Australians.
The Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC) is CSIRO's digital health research program and a joint venture between CSIRO and the Queensland Government. The AEHRC works with state and federal health agencies, clinical research groups and health businesses around Australia.
