The team’s task? Benchmarking methods for segmenting enlarged perivascular spaces (EPVS) in brain MRIs. EPVS is a marker and early indicator of cerebral vascular diseases linked to various conditions that involve nervous system degeneration.
All of this to say, the team’s efforts are contributing to improving the imaging that helps diagnose and treat certain diseases of the brain.
Hollie Min represented the team, consisting of Hollie, Ying Xia, Ines Vati and Liz Cooper, at the conference in Marrakesh, Morocco.
